Sugar cane wax is a natural by-product derived from the refining process of sugar cane wax. It is primarily composed of esters, long-chain alcohols, and fatty acids. The wax is recognized for its unique properties, such as high melting point, water repellency, and resistance to oxidation, making it a valuable ingredient in a variety of industrial applications. These applications range from food and beverage industry for coatings, the cosmetic industry for lipsticks, creams, and ointments to the packaging industry for enhancing the strength and appearance of paper and cardboard. It is also utilized in the production of candles, polishes, and inks. The multifunctional nature of sugar cane wax coupled with its eco-friendly attributes, positions it as a favourable alternative to synthetic waxes, leading to growing demand across different industrial sectors.
