Papaya, scientifically known as Carica papaya, is a fruit belonging to the Caricaceae family. It is oval and pear-shaped with a thin skin of green and orange color and a central cavity filled with black seeds. It has a sweet and tropical taste with underlying notes of musk. It is enriched with vitamins, folate, magnesium, and other essential nutrients. It contains papain enzyme that aids digestion, breaks down proteins, and alleviates digestive disorders. It boosts the immune system and helps the body fight off infections. It contributes to skin health and promotes a radiant complexion.
