Guar gum powder is a free-flowing yellowish white powder with a slight odor used as a food additive that is extracted from the endosperm of the guar plant. It acts as a disintegrant in tablets and capsules that help them in breaking down and dissolving in the body. It is used as a sizing agent in fabrics to improve the strength, stiffness, and durability.
