Tropical Sun is a brand of cassava chips that are made from hand-selected cassava roots and seasoned with exotic spices. The chips are gluten-free, thin, and crispy, and are meant to offer a balance of flavor and crunch. Cassava chips are a popular snack in Southeast Asia and are made by deep-frying thinly sliced cassava roots. They are a healthier alternative to potato chips because they contain less acrylamide, which is a suspected carcinogen. Cassava is a starchy root that is a major source of carbohydrates in tropical countries in Asia and Africa.
