Project Description

Cast iron powder can be made by using a rotary process to atomize molten semi steel. The resulting iron granules can be analyzed using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The rotating speed of the process affects the median diameter of the granules, with a decrease in diameter as the speed increases. Metal powders with medium-sized particles are used for micro-molding. The particle size should be no more than one-tenth or one-twentieth the size of the smallest detail of the cavity.
